Seattle is getting ready to go full speed this fall as Sonic the Hedgehog comes to the Paramount Theatre for “Sonic Live In Concert” on September 22, 2026. The Seattle stop is part of a global tour celebrating 35 years of Sonic music, bringing the iconic video-game franchise’s soundtrack to life through a live ensemble featuring rock musicians, vocalists and electronic elements. SEGA’s official announcement lists Seattle as one of the tour’s preview performances. The concert promises to be much more than a traditional video-game music performance. Fans can expect live arrangements of music spanning Sonic’s history, accompanied by synchronized HD footage featuring memorable levels, characters, moments and boss battles from across the franchise.

Since the original Sonic the Hedgehog launched in 1991, music has been one of the franchise’s defining characteristics. The Seattle concert is designed to celebrate that entire musical history, moving from the classic Genesis-era soundtracks through newer releases. The published tour description specifically highlights favorites such as “Green Hill Zone” alongside newer material including “Undefeatable.” Rather than simply playing recordings, the production reimagines the music specifically for a live concert environment. The show also recognizes the work of legendary Sonic composers Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani, whose music has helped shape the sound of the franchise across multiple generations of games.

One of the biggest attractions for Seattle fans is the production’s combination of rock instrumentation, vocals and electronic elements. That mixture is designed to capture the high-energy sound associated with Sonic while giving longtime fans a new way to experience familiar tracks. The arrangements will reportedly include musical Easter eggs hidden throughout the performance, giving longtime Sonic fans another reason to pay close attention. The production also incorporates large-scale visuals synchronized with the music, turning iconic game moments into part of the concert experience. That combination makes the event appealing beyond traditional classical video-game concerts. It is being presented as a high-energy live production that blends gaming, rock and electronic music with cinematic visuals.

The Seattle performance is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre. Ticketmaster currently lists the event at the historic Seattle venue, while SEGA’s official tour announcement confirms Seattle as a September 22 stop. Seattle is the first stop on the announced North American run, followed by Portland on September 23, San Diego on September 25, Hollywood on September 26 and Riverside on September 27. The tour then continues through additional U.S. cities and London.
For Seattle’s gaming community, this is an opportunity to experience three decades of Sonic nostalgia in an entirely different format. With a live rock band, vocalists, electronic sounds, massive game visuals and music spanning the franchise’s 35-year history, Sonic Live In Concert could be one of the city’s most unique gaming-related events of 2026.
